James Vincent McMorrow announces new album, ‘True Care’ & European tour

James Vincent McMorrow has announced details of his new album True Care, set for release via All Points on July 28th. News of the album, which arrives less than a year after his previous release We Move, comes inline with the album-titled track (listen below).

James will bring the album on tour throughout the summer, at each headline show performing a set consisting of ‘True Care’ in full, and then a set spanning his career to date – the full list of dates are below which include a three night residency at London’s Village Underground on July 24th, 25th & 26th.

Speaking about True Care, James says: “Life is long. But then, it isn’t really. Since I’ve been making records it’s been about following a cycle. Make a record. Wait. Release a record. Play for 18 months. Take a break. I don’t really understand that cycle any more. I want to make records when I’m compelled to, and I want to release them when they’re still as fresh to me as they are to whomever is hearing them for the first time. The idea of sitting around waiting doesn’t make sense to me.” You can read the full statement at this link here.
