Baio unveils new video for ‘Man Of The World’, London date at Moth Club on December 6th

Baio has unveiled the brilliant new video to his current single ‘Man Of The World’, which will be released September 8th on Glassnote Records. The video, co-directed by Baio and Scott Peters, sees the London-based New Yorker go on a whistle stop tour of some of the world’s most famous landmarks and cities – watch the video below. In support of the recent album release, Baio will perform at Moth Club, London on December 6th.

Says Baio of the video: “Using cutting-edge technology, Scott Peters and I were able to make a video that features places I’ve been (Lake Malawi, Rio, London) and others I have not (Patagonia, Niagara Falls). I’m particularly proud of the scene where I moonwalk on stage at Carnegie Hall and I believe the ending features the best Burj Khalifa scene since ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.’ Enjoy!

The follow-up to recent single ‘PHILOSOPHY!’, ‘Man Of The World’ is the title track from Baio’s critically acclaimed sophomore solo album, which was written and recorded in Brixton. Co-produced by John Foyle and mixed by Bruce Lampcov (Bryan Ferry, The The), ‘Man of the World’ is a body of work that addresses themes of alienation, paranoia, and political will to power that are belied by airy melodies and a crystalline pop sheen.

‘PHILOSOPHY!’ received a video treatment from Dan Navetta who combined playfulness and sophistication to bring Baio’s lyrics, melody and vision to life (WATCH HERE). Baio sat down with Drowned In SoundThe Line Of Best FitBillboardThe 405, VMAN, Relix and many others to discuss how ‘Man of the World’ came to be and its undeniable themes.
