Angélique Kidjo shares reimagining of Talking Heads’ ‘Remain In Light’ to press praise

3 time Grammy award-winner Angélique Kidjo has released ‘Remain In Light’, a reimagining of Talking Heads’ fourth studio album, to widespread praise from press.
Teaming up with Jeff Bhasker to produce (Kanye West, Drake) the project features appearances from Blood Orange, Ezra Koenig and Tony Allen. Kidjo first fell in love with the music of David Byrne & Brian Eno back in 1983 during her escape from the regime in her native home of Benin to France.
Angélique explains; “As ‘Remain In Light’ was influenced by the music of my continent, I want to pay back the homage and create my own African take on Talking Heads’ songs. Now is the time to bring rock back to Africa, connect our minds, and bring all our sounds to a new level of sharing and understanding”.
