Karine Polwart long-listed for 2018 Scottish Album Of The Year

Karine Polwart’s widely-praised latest album ‘A Pocket Of Wind Resistance’ (a 2017 Album Of The Year at both Songlines & Radio 3 Late Junction) has now been long-listed for the 2018 Scottish Album Of The Year prize (putting her in the company of Young Fathers, Mogwai & Franz Ferdinand amongst others). The news follows Karine scooping the Folk Singer of The Year at this year’s BBC Radio 2 Awards, at which ‘Wind Resistance’ was also nominated for Album Of The Year.

Polwart’s SAY nomination comes ahead of a string of UK tour dates which she has recently shared details for, which see her collaborating once again with Inge Thomson & brother Steven Polwart.
