London five-piece Mamas Gun met back in the days of Myspace, where singer Andy Platt advertised for band members following his studies at LIPA and subsequent period playing on the highly successful debut by Corinne Bailey Rae. After Radio 2 play listing championed by Chris Evans, the band successfully broke through in 2009 with the release of their debut album ‘Routes to Riches’. That year, Mamas Gun became the most played international artist on Japanese air waves and spent the following years riding their success in South and East Asia, touring Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore. Along the way, they’ve supported the likes of Ben l’Oncle Soul, Beverley Knight, Level 42 and Raphael Saadiq and have enjoyed Top 10 hits in four continents.
