Rachael Yamagata has lead a fruitful musical career thus far. It is a career that has produced three full-length LPs, a spattering of 5 EPs and guesting on work by Bright Eyes, Ryan Adams and Ray LaMontagne.
Yamagata now looks set to release her fourth album to date, Tightrope Walker. It is an album that allows Yamagata to take a nosedive thematically, veering away from her traditional influences to find inspiration in the question, why? Part-influenced by the famous tightrope walker, Philippe Petit, who was renowned for walking between the two World Trade Centres in 1974, Yamagata looks to add her fabulous artillery of music.
