ACM announces new music education facility in Manchester

The Academy Of Contemporary Music (ACM) has announced that it will bring its professional music training to the North of England with a new music education facility in Manchester City Centre.

The news fulfills ACM’s long-standing desire to create a centre more accessible to the North of England and compliment ACM’S growing base in Guildford, Surrey, as well as expanding overseas facilities.

Speaking about the announcement, Julia Leggett, Executive Director of ACM Commercial, said:

‘It’s long been ACM’s intention to have a presence in the North of the UK. Manchester is a significant cultural centre with a rich musical heritage and a fantastic current music scene. Given that other key media players are moving to this area, it makes for perfect timing and fulfills our objective of bringing the ACM curriculum and ethos to a wider audience.’

The centre will offer students the opportunity of a career in the music industry through a range of full- and part-time education courses previously unavailable outside ACM in Guildford. It will also serve as a base to distribute a number of ACM franchises. These include a suite of music education franchises to attract students aged 5-16 which is already proving successful in the South of England.
