Gemma Hayes new single ‘Shock To My System’ released August 27th

‘Shock To My System’ is the stunning new single from acclaimed singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes. Written by Hayes and produced by David Odlum (The Frames, dEUS, Josh Ritter) ‘Shock To My System’ is taken from the Mercury-nominated artist’s forthcoming fourth studio album ‘Let It Break.’

Born in Tipperary and now based in Dublin, Gemma Hayes’ critically acclaimed debut album ‘Night On Your Side’ (2002) received a Mercury Prize nomination, with the follow up, 2005’s ‘The Roads Don’t Love You,’ winning her the Best Female Artist award at the Meteor Awards, Ireland’s Brits equivalent. Hayes’ songs have appeared in countless TV programmes and films from Grey’s Anatomy to One Tree Hill, and most recently The Vampire Diaries and the upcoming Abigail Breslin movie, Janie Jones.

Until now only available on import, ‘Let It Break’ will receive a full UK release in October on Fullfill via Universal. The album was recorded in France and Dublin and produced by David Odlum and Gemma Hayes.
