Young Rebel Set announce new single and UK tour

The North East’s Young Rebel Set return with a new single ‘The Lash Of The Whip’, released 30th September on Ignition Records. The song, reminiscent of some of The Coral’s earlier releases, is underpinned with an organ sound that fans of The Stranglers or the Doors would find familiar.

‘The Lash Of The Whip’ is the first single to be taken from Young Rebel Sets’ excellent new album ‘Crocodile’, also released 30th September. The new album was recorded in Glasgows’ Chem19 Studios with producer (and former Delgado’s drummer) Paul Savage, best known for his work with Mogwai, The Phantom Band & King Creosote. ‘Crocodile’ is the follow up to the bands’ 2011 debut album ‘Curse our Love’. Fans of that first album will not be disappointed with ‘Crocodile’, a rousing set of songs that bridges blue-collar rock & gritty white boy soul.

A formidable and engaging live act who’ve built up a sizable following across Europe, Young Rebel Set will head out on an extensive tour of the UK, Germany & Switzerland throughout September & October, including a London show at Sebright Arms on September 23 – info and tickets are available at
