Sivu debuts video for single ‘Can’t Stop Now’ via Noisey and announces tour dates

Sivu has premiered a video for new single ‘Can’t Stop Now’ via Noisey, which will be released on March 24 on Atlantic Records.

The track has already picked up Radio 1 plays from Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Greg James, with Sivu also confirming an appearance at this year’s Great Escape and SXSW festivals.

An intimate London headline show – his first with a full band – has just been announced for June 4 at The Roundhouse Studio, whilst further live and remix plans will be unveiled shortly.

The heady video for ‘Can’t Stop Now’ was filmed in Los Angeles with Sivu’s ex-flat-mate and long-term collaborator Adam Powell.

Experimenting with the idea of a green-screen suit, the clip captures the “chaos and confusion” of a time when James moved to London from Cambridge, attempting to break into music.

It’s an urgent appeal to follow your gut against the ticking clock, seemingly as inspired by the rhythmic drive of Bombay Bicycle Club as the left-field pop of Sivu’s hero, Beck – another solo artist with ambitions beyond the solitary ‘singer-songwriter’ tag.

Sivu tour dates include:

May 9             Brighton          Great Escape Festival

June 4             London            Roundhouse Studios
