Surprise as Keaton Henson releases new album8 July 2014
Keaton Henson surprise-released “Romantic Works”, a classical album on the 16th June.
It’s an unexpected departure from his previous album Birthdays, which garnered praise as a Rough Trade Album of The Year and was supported by Radio 1 and 6 Music. “Romantic Works” is free from the pretence of typical “classical” music, and was recorded entirely in his small bedroom in London. Teaching himself the art of orchestration and arrangement, combined with his knowledge of how to craft a pop song, Henson has created a haunting yet pensive soundscape that appeals to both indie and classical fans.
