Benjamin Clementine announces ‘An Evening With Benjamin Clementine & His Parisian String Quarter’ EU tour

Following recent tours of the UK and US with David Byrne, the London-born and LA-based troubadour Benjamin Clementine has announced a special, one-off series of acoustic headline dates across Europe. Taking place across May & June 2019, the run of shows offers the chance to experience Clementine’s songs in a whole new light – his arresting, impassioned songwriting and mercurial live performance not just stripped back to an intimate acoustic setting, but also totally reimagined with the backing of a string quintet for the very first time.

Entitled ‘An Evening With Benjamin Clementine & His Parisian String Quintet’, the unique live experience will see Clementine take to the stage backed by five French string players, including Barbara Le LiePvre on cello. Throughout the night Clementine will perform a tapestry of songs taken from his two critically-acclaimed albums: the Mercury Prize-winning debut At Least For Now, released in 2015, and his 2017 sophomore album To Tell A Fly Songs, which continued to build on the widespread success of his debut and led to NPR declaring Clementine ‘a musical George Orwell for our time.’ These will be Benjamin Clementine’s only live shows in Europe across Spring/Summer 2019.

You can find the full-list of tour-dates below, and here’s Benjamin’s latest single ‘Eternity’.
