Faroese Eivør resides in Copenhagen, where she has been releasing music throughout Scandinavia, Iceland and North America for sixteen years spanning genres of rock, jazz, classical and pop. Her journey into music began at the tender age of thirteen, where she won a national singing competition, making her live TV debut the same year. Three years later, Eivør released her debut solo album, whilst also fronting rock band Clickhaze. After her second, a defining moment arrived for Eivør; a three-category nomination at the 2003 Icelandic Music Awards, usually reserved solely for Icelandic artists. This opened up a wealth of possibility; touring Scandinavia extensively, a dalliance with opera and appearances with the Faroese Symphony Orchestra. More recently, she has ventured into TV & film composition; most notably for new BBC flagship show ‘The Last Kingdom’ alongside the prolific John Lunn. Her recent release, the critically-praised ‘Slør’ – marks Eivør’s first English-sung release & her UK commercial debut, alongside a string of sold-out UK shows to boot through summer 2018.
